January 26, 2015 - January 28, 2015
This event will be rescheduled as soon as possible...
Pope Francis has inspired a whole new enthusiasm in our church. He calls us to become more involved in bringing the good news of Jesus Christ to our world. This parish mission is a response to his call.
MONDAY - “WE ARE SINNERS”
When Pope Francis was asked, “Who are you?”, he responded, “I’m a sinner”. How we respond to this question will determine our relationship with God, ourselves and others.
TUESDAY - “WE ARE LOVED”
Pope Francis invites us to have a personal experience of god. When we enter into this experience we develop a very personal relationship with Jesus. We become a more loving person, we live the good news and we participate in the body of Christ.
WEDNESDAY - “WE ARE CALLED”
Pope Francis simply sees that the world is made up of givers and takers. He believes that the world has been over-whelmed with selfishness. We are called as the body of Christ to reverse this direction. He likens our ministry to healing the wounds on a battlefield.
Father Tom Allender, nationally known author and preacher has given well over 2,000 Parish Missions under the general theme of “Life’s Journey” which is now taking “The Better Road Ministry”. Each day’s talk is given twice. Over the past 30+ years, Father Tom has developed a witty and energetic speaking style and a spirituality that he helps us recognize, convincingly, that God loves us unconditionally.
Donald C. Fisher is layman who is also co-author of the materials used for the 30+ years he and Father Tom have worked together doing Missions throughout the United States and Canada. Born in Kansas City in 1958 he attended Catholic Schools and College in Missouri. He is a retired Captain Medic in the fire service. He also is the father of five children. Years ago he found his vocation working together with Fr. Tom. They combined their spiritually and faith for all to enjoy.
